No Save Games.

I, and probably most of you, prefer games that automatically save once a certain point in the game is passed. Yesterday, I spend a good four or five hours playing one of my newly bought games ( Final Fight: Streetwise) and after smashing faces for a while, the game freezes and I have to turn it off. When I reboot, of course nothing is saved and everything has to be done over again. What a pain in my ass.

Actually, I like the idea of being able to save when I choose, not the system making the decision for me. There are certain games where an auto-save is fine, but I'm definitely a fan of manual saving.

I still have to disagree with you there Ben. You do bring up a good point of the system saving for you, that is a pain if the player screws up and cannot go back for a re-do. The only reason I don't like it is because I was playing a game for three or four hours, then as I was about to save, the game froze and I had to repeat all my progress. I just like the security so that I don't have to keep doing things over and over or losing a good record.

Oh, in certain games, it's definitely a good security to have. I'm just one of those gamers who absolutely HATES to repeat ANYTHING in a game. When I shut down the console, I want to pick up exactly where I left off, which is why I'm such a save whore in RPGs. ;)

Having that much game time erased sucks, though, no matter which way you look at it. Still, not as bad as one of my debacles- 30+ hours of Front Mission 3 data CORRUPTED on my piece-of-sh**- EB-branded m memory card. I was never able to summon the motivation to go all the way back through it, either. :( And of course, from then on in, ONLY first-party accessories went into my systems. I learned my lesson the hard way.
