You Have A Problem With Video Games, But Not This.

Definition of tragedy. "A disastrous event, especially one involving distressing loss or injury to life: an expedition that ended in tragedy, with all hands lost at sea." So many things could be put into this category, such as the attacks of 9/11 which is now a movie for the masses. In one Wednesday, this movie brought in over $4.4 million and is thought to be number one as soon as the weekend hits. This makes me ill on the inside to think that someone out there is raking it in on a human tragedy such as this one. This isn't like some video game that is all fantasy-land, but rather an actual event that should NEVER have been made into a Hallmark movie. Oliver Stone (Platoon, Alexander) should go out back and shoot himself for profiting on such a horrible time in the nation's history. This is going to be just like when we all were dumb enough to buy flags and hang them everywhere to show our support....where did they all go? Someone raked in the cash then as well. That is why I remember in my own special way and don't have to give other people money to go watch a film. Furthermore, this and Flight 93 only further the stereotype that people from the middle-east are bad and to justify reasons why we have troops overseas. Maybe next time when we blow something up, we can make a movie about it so people feel justified about that too. So to America, something like this is acceptable to watch, since it only got a PG-13 rating, but games that AREN'T REAL are unlawful to buy if the person is under 17. So it is ok to hate people of middle eastern decent for what they did, but it's bad to point a gun at something on a television screen. Give me a break. Furthermore, watch this and tell me if you still feel the whole attack was not our fault or staged in the first place, thanks.

I COMPLETELY agree. I've always said that they were going to try and do this and I was just proved right by the stupid American media idiots who have nothing better to do but profit off of misery.

The two movies are great propaganda pushers for fear and war on brainwashed Americans. They would be radically different if the Bush administration stopped the lies and deciet about what really happened. Why won't they release the actual audio recordings from the black box instead of a way-to-easy-to-fake transcript (anybody can make a text file). What is it they are trying to hide?

Our "leaders" are just hiding the truth to protect their own ass and to further their own agendas of controlling more and more of our lives while profiting in any way possible.

And with Lieberman being a huge Bush supporter severely tarnishes any credibility he has. And I say since Lamont having zero political experience is well worth the price of him being elected merely for the fact that we'll finally have a fair and unbiased elected official that doesn't play into the unwarranted fears from the media and Bush.

I know this is kinda off topic, but we CAN make a difference if we rally together to keep Lieberman from winning...therefore taking away some of Bush's mafia-like hierarchy of control in the U.S. government.

On Topic: When I become a parent, I would rather be an informed citizen that makes the decisions what my children see and play instead of letting the government censoring what they think is bad. Lieberman doesn't realize the Mortal Kombat generation has grown up now and we do not want to be controlled.

Exactly, you bring up some very good points. I personally don't like Liberman because he wanted to put a ban on violent video games a while back which in turn made me lose respect and any sort of chance to vote for him in the coming election. Sad to say, we might never know what actually went down that day. All those lives were lost and now we now have an agenda that many would consider insane if it were not for that tragedy. Who knows though, we now know who deepthroat was from the nixon era, so maybe fifty years down the road we can say we were right when they finally figure out the truth.

There is one thing I will never do-

Say 9/11 was "our fault." I'm so sick of that BS, I want to throttle someone.

Outside of that, Lieberman is an idiot and the movie is tasteless.
