2 Days To Go, And Already There Is A Line.
A few kids who live on my floor left a few hours ago to go wait in line for the Playstation 3, which comes out on Friday. They brought tents, food, and water with them. I asked them why they would wait outside for 2 straight days to just get one of these PS3s. It's actually really smart on their part. One kid is trying to buy as many PS3s as possible. He saved up money over the summer, so he was thinking ahead about this. He takes all of the money out of the bank, hires a few kids to buy the system (only one per customer) for $600 a piece. He gives them their share for waiting outside for 2 days (like $150-200) and sells all the Playstation 3s online. So a purchase of $600 can be sold on E-Bay for more then triple that. If the kid buys eight of them, he will make $9600 profit. That is one smart kid. I'll keep you updated on how the line is. He told me that he is 10th right now in line and is definitely guaranteed at least one PS3.
P.S. I got a copy of Drakengard on E-Bay for 18 bucks....sweetness. Later.

Sure hope that kid is well aware of the strict eBay rules regarding members who want to sell a PS3.
The requirements include a selling rating of at least 50, positive feedback of at least 95%, they must list a clear photo of the system or the preorder receipt, and they must ONLY accept PayPal as the transaction method.
If they don't meet all those requirements, they CANNOT sell a PS3 on eBay. So I really hope your friend there is aware of that...otherwise, he could be royally screwed.
