Nostalgic Fun.
So tonight, I beat bully, which was both good and bad. I hammered out about 20 missions in a single day because they seemed to take no time at all. I really enjoyed pulling pranks and beating the crap out of nerds, jocks, greasers, and preps. Rockstar really made this game interesting and fun right up to the very end. What was even better was that the last chapter, called endless summer, let you do all the missions and classes that you might have missed while playing the game. There were also countless side missions and games that makes this game a must have.
After all of that was done, it was on to Drakengard. Square Enix (final fantasy) developed the game, and it was great from the very beginning. I love hack 'n' slash games, and this may just be the best one that I have ever played. You get to run through literally hundreds of enemies, and when they become too many, you can hop on a dragon and decimate them with huge fireballs. The storyline is just amazing, and there are countless missions. It's also like an RPG because experience points and new weapons and skills are given as the player progresses. I know that I am going to be playing this game until school lets out for the semester. The best part is that a kid from down the hall let me borrow Drakengard 2 so I can continue the game. Yes. Frank brought up a HUGE box of Nintendo games, and I almost cried when I saw what he had in there. Kirby, 1943, Dr. Mario, and Whomp 'Em were just a few of the 30 or so games in the box. best part is, I get to borrow them. Ah yes, I love old school 8-bit games, and when I dig deeper into the box, I'll tell you what else I might come across. Later.

Down For The Count.
I brought my old school Nintendo back up from home for the rest of the semester. It was just something else to play in hopes of me not buying any new games on the account of slowly being killed by credit card bills. I brought up the gun, two controllers and like two games. i asked Frank if he had any, and today his sister Liz brought up a friggen box full of 'em. The first one I see...Dr. Mario. I remember that game from so long ago and how I schooled my brother in it. Earlier in the month, I had mentioned to my boss, Tara, that I was bringing the Nintendo up. She had specifically asked to play me in Dr. Mario since she thought she could destroy anyone in it. Oh, and how right she was. We played a few games; I wasn't EVEN CLOSE. I left that apartment with a bruised ego. Getting beaten by a game that I was really good at, AND by a girl? I'm sticking to one player games for a while. Later.

School Days.
So now I am about 90% done with school for the semester, which means lots of time logged into video games. All I have left are 2 exams (one is an automatic A) a presentation (just have to present) and edit one paper. I am so happy that this semester is almost over so I can go home and just work out, relax and not be bothered by homework getting in the way of my Xbox and PlayStation 2. Anyways, I was playing Bully for the last few days, and let me just tell you know, PICK THIS GAME UP! I thought it wasn't going to be too great at the beginning, but after completing a few missions the story really picked up and it's just been fun on a bun. I get to egg houses, help out drunk teachers, and pull all the pranks I wanted to back in high school. Rockstar, you've done it again my friend. I was also looking on their website recently and saw some cool stuff like t-shirts of Grand Theft Auto and Bully. I might have to pick one of those up for the holidays. In closing, I give you a picture of my game station, soon to be added to if you know what I mean. Later.

And I'm Back.
Yup, back from home, and oh how much fun that was. I left here with the intention of doing nothing but gorging on food and playing video games; I did just that. I beat kill zone, and thinking about it now, it wasn't half bad. I discovered the multiplayer options (kind of like Red Faction's) which were really fun. I played 14 bots in a deathmatch for a while and then realized I could be playing Bully. I fired up that game, going from 1 percent to 22 percent complete in a matter of four hours. Susan and I hung out every day and watched movies or she tried (and died a lot) playing Super Mario Bros. 3 on my Old school Nintendo which came back up to school with me. Thanksgiving day though was rough. my grandma didn't cook the turkey for the appropriate amount of time, so there was none. I couldn't even have a tryptophantastic Thanksgiving like I planed :-(. Besides that mishap, it was nice to go home, relax, and play some games without being bothered by schoolwork or kids ripping down things. Well, I have Bully on pause so I'm going to go back to that and maybe play some Drakengard while I'm at it (I was saving that game for last). Later.

2.) Susan time, i.e. whenever I'm not with #1
3.) RA stuff (making #2 do that)
4.)Turkey coma
5.) Sleep
6.) Hot tub
7.)Laundry
8.) mom's house
SEE YA!

And No One Cares.
The Nintendo Wii came out today, and it seemed no one even felt like mentioning it at all. The same WalMart that only had 10 PS3s has about 61 Nintendo Wiis. Nintendo thought it to be wiser just to get out as many systems as possible unlike Sony who wanted people to be shot at and hurt to get a console to sell it on E-bay. (P.S. the price dropped dramatically because everyone was doing that) At only $250 dollars, the Wii seems like something the average gamer would want to get. The new Zelda game looks to become a big hit (I want to find someone who has it in this building) and Nintendo seems to finally be getting back in the game. I also read up on Wii points over the weekend because I had no idea what they were. I guess it goes something like this (correct me if I'm wrong):
When you buy an accessory, game etc. from Nintendo, it comes with Wii points. Those points, which you can also purchase for a penny a piece, let you download cool things such as NES, SNES, Sega, and N64 games each with it's own price. I haven't really figured out what the prices of them are, but I know many people who want to play some old school games on the Wii. FINALLY, Nintendo has something cool to offer that the masses want. The price is only $250, so its not really a kick in the wallet either. Way to go, Nintendo. It seems like you're on track to getting some of that lost money from the Gamecube venture.

Did I Call That Or What?
Step One-Look down at my previous posts. Did I mention that someone is going to be "staring down the barrel of a gun"? Yes, I certainly did. I got a call this morning about the shooting, having no idea what was going on (it was before 1030 a.m, that's too early to do anything for me) and knew that I am just so super awesome that I could predict the future before it actually happened. "Police hunt for Putnam PlayStation 3 shooters" is the headline that I found on Norwich Bulletin's website (with a hell of a lot of errors I must say, jeez).
Anyways, remember how that kid was standing in line since Wednesday in the #10 spot? Well, it seems the kid he was working for went down there and bought two additional spots for $2900 cash. The kid who was working for the spot buyer was approached with an offer. $1750 to give a guy his place (the same guy had just given 4 grand to the kid in front of the line) and, like any smart person, took the money and ran. So I think that it was a lot of money, not so sure if its worth it, but Sony must be having a field day with this. I search E-Bay...PS3s going in upwards of 13 GRAND! Man I wish I had gotten in that line to be bought off, that would have been sweet. My next prediction for Sunday...nothing happens because Nintendo was smart and has around 1.4 million units to sell on release day. Sorry, no more video game induced shootings, awww. I can't wait until they catch those kids though, should be a great day for them.

2 Days To Go, And Already There Is A Line.
A few kids who live on my floor left a few hours ago to go wait in line for the Playstation 3, which comes out on Friday. They brought tents, food, and water with them. I asked them why they would wait outside for 2 straight days to just get one of these PS3s. It's actually really smart on their part. One kid is trying to buy as many PS3s as possible. He saved up money over the summer, so he was thinking ahead about this. He takes all of the money out of the bank, hires a few kids to buy the system (only one per customer) for $600 a piece. He gives them their share for waiting outside for 2 days (like $150-200) and sells all the Playstation 3s online. So a purchase of $600 can be sold on E-Bay for more then triple that. If the kid buys eight of them, he will make $9600 profit. That is one smart kid. I'll keep you updated on how the line is. He told me that he is 10th right now in line and is definitely guaranteed at least one PS3.
P.S. I got a copy of Drakengard on E-Bay for 18 bucks....sweetness. Later.

Where Are You?
AHHH why doesn't either EB or Gamestop have Drakengard or Drakengard 2??? I found one on the shelves, but when I went over to pay for it, the guy told me that they didn't have any in stock. WHY HAVE THE BOX ON THE SHELF THEN?!?! I think it was worse that I found the box and they didn't have it then to just not have it at all. After looking there, I went to Gamestop and they said they had no copies...none. Jeez, I just want to ride a dragon and kill hundreds of people. Is that asking too much? Well, there's always E-Bay I guess so everything is good. Later.

Gonna Be One Hell Of A Weekend.
Wow. I had no idea until about a week ago that TWO systems were going to be released in a matter of 48 hours apart. If I worked at Gamestop, EB or WalMart, I think that this weekend would be a good one to take off. I heard today from more then a few people that the line for the PS3 has already begun to form. It doesn't come out until the 17th but yet people are going to be sitting out in the freezing weather, just waiting to get their hands on eleven pounds of electronic nirvana. Besides, the Nintendo Wii (releasing on the 19th) has plenty more units promised to be delivered on release day then the PS3. Either way, I predict that at least 15 people are going to be robbed at gunpoint for one of these (very expensive) consoles. Well, I for one am going to search on the 20th to see how many people stared down the barrel of a gun between the 17th and 19th because of a video game console. Should be a fun time. Later.

I'm Getting Used To It.
After going to EB Games and picking up both a new set of A/V cables and the game Kill Zone, I decided to devote some of my Sunday night to getting the hang of the PS2's controls. Well, after about an hour of killing messed up really bad in Killzone, I am finally getting used to the two analog sticks. PS2, where have you been all of my life? Yeah, I am really getting into this whole PS2 thing. I think my game buying will go like this now...one PS2 game and then one Xbox game. Sounds good, right? Leave me some comments. Later.

PS2 Is Weird.
I've never played Playstation 2 before, so getting used to it is quite a challenge. I just seem to have a problem of where the two sticks are; I'm just so used to the Xbox controller that I find myself messing up quite a bit. Finally, Brain rants about something, I know. I am starting to see that there are a lot of great games on PS2...a lot more then I thought there was. I'm actually thinking about picking up a copy of Gauntlet Legends since I played it a lot at the casino. I simply loved that game. Anyone else got some good picks for the PS2? I'd appreciate it, thanks. Later.

Tragedy Strikes.
So I open Bully today, hoping to play it for the first time. I clear my schedule, I mean CLEAR IT. I do all my homework, shower, clean my room, everything is done so I don't have to bother with anything else and can dedicate a solid 3 hours to Bully. The PS2 I am borrowing is still in a bag, so I break it out and set it up. I plug everything in, turn it on.....blank screen but there is sound. Balls. Turns out, the PS2 A/V cable is busted, leaving me crippled with only sound. So no Bully for me, leaving me bitter and empty inside.
Note: To anyone who has a PS2 to ya know....just give away, E-Mail me at that crazy address at the top of the page. In return, you'll get a personalized letter thanking you. Yeah, that's gonna be worth lots one day, and for only a PS2/ AV cable? It's totally worth it!...later.

What A Trip.
After the midnight run for Guitar Hero 2, I found myself staring at games in the WalMart as Mat was getting his game. Just then I saw it...Bully...for 39$! Yeah, So I whipped out that credit card and made it mine. When we got back (about 1 something am,) we played a few rounds of GH2 (including Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box) and finally at 2 or so, I went to bed. The next day, GH2 was the talk of all the kids who played video games. It seemed that everyone went out and bought it today because all I could hear from a lot of the rooms were sounds of excited kids checking out the new songs. Awesome. Anyways, GH2 improved upon a lot of things. First, new characters and new songs...duh. Then I saw they included both a friendly game of GH2 between friends and face-off. If that wasn't great enough, they made it so each person could set a different difficulty level (finally a chance to beat some of those GH freaks) I was amazed at how good the second installment arrived, everything seemed perfect. It may be a little harder, but it's only another reason to play those songs over and over until your fingertips and eyes bleed at the same time. I would HIGHLY suggest anyone who liked the first GH pick up the second one. No surprises here, it's the real thing.
On The Road Right Now.
So on a last minute decision, Mat, Griff, Jo-Jo, Skittles and I are in a mini-van off to get Guitar Hero 2 releasing at midnight. I know it seems hard to understand why 5 guys would drive an hour to New York in the middle of the night, but it will be worth the time. I am currently in the waaaaayyyy back seat reporting to you on my sidekick 2. I knew this thing would come in handy. We are almost to the walmart so I will bring you news tomorrow about the all nighter we are pullingin atempts to beat the game in one night. Goodnight, and may Guitar Hero 2 bless you.

Went Home.
It was nice to finally get away from W.C.S.U for one weekend after two months of constant work and no free time. So the weekend came, I went home, and it was nice. Well, we had to put my 14 year old dog down...that was the sad point. Besides that, it was great. Being home without a working internet (why I didn't post this weekend) helped me think of what I wanted for Xmas since SOMEONE has to do shopping soon. I rank them in order of how much I want them, so BE ALERT.
1.) Xbox 360....PLEEEASE?
2.) $
3.) Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (xbox)
4.) Xbox 360 (I really want one)
5.) new Etnies Shoes (white)
6.) I don't know.....
So yeah, LOTS of thinking was done this weekend and that's about as good as I can do. I'll probably fix up that list in the coming weeks, but that's what it is right now. Later.

DDR Kicks My Ass.
For the second week straight, I have hosted a Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) program and wow are my legs tired. I had no idea how much energy that game takes out of someone, Jesus. We played for two hours last week and another hour and a half this week. I can honestly say that it is a real workout. If you're addicted to video games (like meeeee) and are fat (not meeeee) DDR is indeed the cure. They have a workout mode on it so there is really no reason why anyone is the world should be fat. Go play some damn DDR and get in shape, fatty.
P.S. That's not my hot body in that picture, I stole it off of Google, so if you are her, congrats. I just made you famous.
